Daisy was slowly packing things up in her office. It took awhile, because she had to pause and get sentimental about every single thing she picked up . . . except for that pop-up gremlin thing. That one had her pausing, and then trying to beat the crap out of it with a fake Oscar.

[ooc: Daisy will be leaving Fandom over the next week or so, so this is her last office hours.]
actingreaper: (Default)
Daisy was flipping through travel sites online.

Oooo. She should go to Istanbul. . . .

[ooc: open, yadda yadda]
actingreaper: (whatever)
Daisy is in her office, with a glass of raspberry flavored iced green tea, staring at a fake Oscar statuette.

She's lost in thought. Come watch now, this doesn't happen a whole lot. . . .
actingreaper: (looking down)
Daisy is flipping through a book of old celebrities.

Reaped that one, knew the guy who reaped that one, dated that one, that one was a total diva. . . .

She was most certainly interruptable.
actingreaper: (looking down)
Daisy was flipping through an issue of "Mode" magazine.

Really, that Alexis was so brave. . . .
actingreaper: (looking down)
Daisy was craving waffles.

Now, if only Kiffany made cross-country in-office deliveries. . . .

[ooc: open for whatever!]
actingreaper: (looking down)
Daisy was snickering over a copy of Strewelpeter.

It's probably best not to ask.
actingreaper: (actress)
Daisy was watching Samantha. The original, not the remake.

Interrupt her, if you dare. . . .
actingreaper: (little miss daisy)
The TARDIS had been colored pink with chalk, and now bore a big sign reading "NO BOYS ALOUD!"

Daisy wasn't the greatest speller.

The front door was cracked open, and Daisy poked her head out every now and then and giggled before ducking back in.

[ooc: open!]
actingreaper: (wee!daisy)
Daisy was outside in a big fluffy pink faux fur coat and little pink boots, building a fairy princess castle out of legos she found in the TARDIS (which were all Barry White colors, but that was okay), and wondering where she might get her hands on a decent set of dolls.

For now, she has two sticks. The stick with the dead leaf on the end is the girl stick. It talks with in an exaggerated falsetto. The other stick is the boy stick and it talks is a very low, grumbly voice.

At the moment, it seems as though the two sticks are sitting at a restaurant called Der Wafflehaus, and the boy-stick is trying to tell the girl-stick what to do, but the girl-stick is saying no, she wants to go shopping instead of looking for people who are about to die, today, thanks. . . .

[ooc: ooooooooooooooooooopen]
actingreaper: (I care)
Daisy had only gotten the flowers she ordered for herself, yesterday. This? Was a travesty.

So she's watching old 30s movies and sniffling when she thinks no one is looking.

But she's also here for whatever you might need of her. She's cool like that.

[ooc: open! Especially for her mentorees!]
actingreaper: (looking down)
Daisy was brainstorming things for her student mentorees to do for her. So far, her idea was to have them stage manage a production . . . but that would require her organizing a production and ewwwwww.

And yes, brainstorming totally involved ordering flowers to be sent to herself tomorrow by a "secret admirer". Doesn't it for you?

[ooc: open, Daisy will be having more frequent office hours from now on, assuming I manage to remember to post them. . . .]
actingreaper: (grin)
Daisy should probably be figuring out what she wants to do for her class next week.

Instead? She's reading and rereading her favorite snippets from Amleth, especially the deaths. She's trying to decide which character is most likely the reaper.

The door is open, and she is interuptable.
actingreaper: (teacher)
"Happy no-longer-January, people," Daisy was looking more awake for this class than usual. "I thought today we could take a look at what happens when you get multiple versions of the same written work. And what better way to do that than to take what is considered to be one of the greatest works in English literature: Amleth."

cut cause the mun went kinda nuts on the reference links )

[ooc: ocd's a comin'. OCD is there, omg! Links are to Wikipedia, Project Gutenberg, IMDb, YouTube, the miscellaneous sites that host some of the weird web versions, and lastly, my own server. Some links include sound. Handwaving is always an option. Please remember to meta.]
actingreaper: (whatever)
Daisy? Was definitely not taking a nap on a copy of metaed Heart of Darkness.

No way, no how.

If she were? She might end up with the pages of the book imprinted on her cheek.

The horror, the horror!
actingreaper: (looking down)
Daisy was in her office after class, flipping through the first Barry Plodder book and looking a bit bored.

[ooc: open, she's here between second period and lunch]
actingreaper: (teacher)
Daisy was relaxing back at her desk in an artful way, a book of plays open in front of her.

The door was open, though Daisy was now quite used to never actually getting any visitors, and was considering finding a toothpick. She thought she might have a poppy seed stuck in her molar from this morning's bagel.

[ooc: open. The fact that [livejournal.com profile] 00_nova_00 came to her office is fine, but contents of the thread are NFB.]

Hi people! Just a quick info thingy to let you know what's up with this whole "Film and Lit" in a Fandom context thing:

Essentially? This is a chance to discuss fandoms of varying sorts in a totally meta context, under the pretense of talking about the differences between film and written (either novel or comic) version. So far, I'm thinking metas of Harry Potter, Hamlet, and BtVS (should characters from those Fandoms not mind) for class subjects. Any other suggestions are welcome.

And a TA would be lovely. This would be very low key, methinks, possibly maybe once taking on a class if RL gets in the way for me.

The following message was delivered, in both email and hardcopy (because Daisy can be thorough when she likes) to all of the students in the Basic Acting class:

Hello!

Tomorrow is our last day of class, and we're going to have an improvisational murder mystery. Enclosed* please find your assigned role. I will expect you to dress appropriately and be prepared to have fun with the improvised scene. All students are asked to participate.

Food and beverages will be served to celebrate a successful semester.

See you all tomorrow in class!

ooc note )

Daisy had the lyrics sheet to "The Christians and the Pagans" in front of her, as well as her role sheet and a copy of a murder mystery play. She had a lot of work to do today to get ready for the end of the semester.

She was bored and completely botherable.

And, she realized with a start, she'd completely forgotten to cast Amber's aunt. Right. She'd need some unsuspecting victim volunteer from the student body, then. She kept her eye on her door and waited for someone to pass by.

[ooc: Amber's aunt role for them what knows who they (used as a general singular pronoun) are. Open, otherwise!]
