Outside the TARDIS, Saturday afternoon

Daisy was outside in a big fluffy pink faux fur coat and little pink boots, building a fairy princess castle out of legos she found in the TARDIS (which were all Barry White colors, but that was okay), and wondering where she might get her hands on a decent set of dolls.

For now, she has two sticks. The stick with the dead leaf on the end is the girl stick. It talks with in an exaggerated falsetto. The other stick is the boy stick and it talks is a very low, grumbly voice.

At the moment, it seems as though the two sticks are sitting at a restaurant called Der Wafflehaus, and the boy-stick is trying to tell the girl-stick what to do, but the girl-stick is saying no, she wants to go shopping instead of looking for people who are about to die, today, thanks. . . .

"I'm a reaper!" Daisy announced. "We're dead people who go find live people who are going to be dead people and take their souls so's they can go play in a big playground in th' sky."

Elliot shook her head. "You're makin' that up."

"Nuh-uh. I'll prove it. Gimme a booboo."

Elliot rolled up the leg of her jeans to reveal a shaving cut scabbed-over boo-boo just below her knee. "Here's a boo-boo. I don't got a lot."

Daisy shook her head. Some people just don't understand. "Nonononono. A booboo on me. I don't have any and I can show you why and prove that I'm a reaper. Gimme a booboo."

"I knew that!" Elliot said, blushing as she rolled her jeans back down.

Quickly, a small fist reached out to punch Daisy in the arm. Hard.

"Owwwwwwwwwwwwww! That's good." Daisy pushed her coat down to show Elliot her arm. The red spot from the impact faded, and it didn't even bruise.

"Doesn't hurt no more! See? I'm a reaper!"

Elliot looked impressed. "Cooool. So you're like an angel? Are you gonna make me be dead?"

"Not unless I have a postedit," Daisy said carefully, as though repeating something she'd memorized. "An' I don't do that any more, here. Nobody ever gets dead."

"Good, 'cause dead people go away an' don't get no bigger," Elliot said solemnly. "An' I like the peoples here."

She stuck a few legos together. "I can build the playground where the dead peoples go."

"Okay, but you have to leave room for my fairy princess castle. Do you have any dolls?"

"I have stuffed aminals back home," Elliot said. "I'll go get them and then we can play more, okay?"

"Okay! An' you can come into my big blue box. It's bigger inside than it is outside."
